Four students injured after attack in Mehrauli park

A quarrel over playing a game of cricket at a park in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area led to the stabbing of two persons on Tuesday evening. According to the police a call was received informing them about a quarrel around 6 pm on Tuesday. When the police reached the Jamali Kamali Park four boys were injured who were then rushed to various hospitals in South Delhi.

The injured were identified as Abdul Samad (18), Sandeep (21), Nikhil (21) and Gokul (21).

Sandeep who was present at the location told the police that they had taken beer to celebrate birthday of their friend Narender and play cricket with a tennis ball at the park.

Later on, around five local boys came and stated that they would play cricket on this ground. On this an argument broke out and one of the boys, Abdul Samad, opened a kit containing a small knife. He then started thrashing Sandeep and other friends and even inflicted stab wounds on them.
