A fake job racket operating across three states was busted, the police said on Thursday. The racket was discovered after the North-West district police received a complaint of cheating of Rs 6 lakhs from the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.

The accused told the police that they mainly targeted poor, young and unemployed for jobs at the Delhi airport and other government sectors.

“We have arrested four men. One of them has a B.Com degree while the other two are engineering students,” the police said.

Northwest DCP, Aslam Khan said that a complaint was made by one Ajith Kumar, a resident of Tamil Nadu at the Adarsh Nagar police station. Kumar claimed that he met one of the accused last year at his native place through a common friend.

“Believing assurances and representations given by the accused earlier, Kumar agreed to the proposal and paid Rs 3 lakh to the two accused, identified as S Allahuddeen and Vinuj Noor Mohammed. Thereafter, the duo took the complainant to Delhi, where Allahuddeen made hi meet two more persons, Raman Saini and Tushar, After that, they went to Kins Aviation at Majlis Park, Delhi and took further Rs 3 lakh from him. Later, the complainant found that these four had cheated more people,” said Khan.

Earlier this month, the cops conducted a raid and caught the two directors of the Kins Aviation from Himachal Pradesh.

During the course of the investigation, on March 17, Allahuddeen was arrested from Chennai. He claimed himself as Tami Nadu chief of the International Human Right Commission, the DCP said.
