Five assault wife, kids while husband's away

Three brothers and their sons, allegedly entered into the house of a woman and molested her and her children on Wednesday evening in Farukh Nagar, Gurugram. The woman known as Urmila has lodged an FIR against five of them at Farukh Nagar Police Station on Wednesday night.

The accused have been identified as Gangaram, Dharampal, Dayaram, Rakesh and Satish, all residents of Dhani Mehchana, Gurugram.

According to police officials, there was a dispute going on between Bhagwan Ahir, the husband of Urmila and the three brothers. Due the dispute, the accused allegedly entered the house in the absence of Bhagwan Ahir and assaulted his wife and children.

"I was on duty on Wednesday afternoon, when the they entered my house forcefully. My wife was there along with my two children at home. They molested my wife and did not even leave my children. They assaulted and abused them and then threatened my wife, that once she steps put of the house, she will be in danger,"said Bhagwan Ahir.

A case has been registered under section 147 (Punishment for rioting that may extend up to two years), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt that may extend up to 1 year of imprisonment), 354B (assaults or uses criminal force to any woman, with imprisonment that may extend up to 3years), 452 (punishment for trespassing with imprisonment that may extend up to seven years) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation with imprisonment of seven years along with fine) under the Indian Penal Code.

"Though we have approached the police, but no arrests have been made yet. They have just asked us and the five of them to appear before the local court," added Ahir.
