Father rapes daughter for 3 yrs, arrested

The Gurugram Police have arrested a man for allegedly raping his 15-year-old daughter for a number of times over a period of three years.

As per the police sources the victim came to the Sadar Police Station, Gurugram on Tuesday evening, and narrated the whole incident to the police in presence of their legal head Counselor. 

Thereafter, the police called both her parents to the police station and his father was arrested on Wednesday.  

Anil Yadav, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sadar Police Station confirmed, “The family basically belongs to Uttar Pradesh. The girl was sent for medical examination and the report has turned out to be positive. As per the medical reports, the minor has been raped.” 

A case has been registered under section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) and Section 506 Punishment for criminal intimidation of Indian Penal Code against the accused at the Sadar police station on the basis of the complaint of the girl. 

The teenager further mentioned in her complaint that her father had allegedly harassed her at a number of occasion for the past three years. She even mentioned that she was being threatened by her father if she told about all these to anyone else. When she resisted, her father threatened to kill her. The father is an employee of a local factory in Gurugram.

“The interrogation is going on with the accused. He has not yet confessed his guilt. We are further investigating the matter,” said Vijay Kumar, SHO, Sadar police station.
