When Vaibhav went to bed last night, never in his wildest imagination had he thought that he would wake up in middle of the night see the roof of his house collapsing and him losing both his parents.

The shock of the incident and sorrow of the loss could be fathomed by the tears and mournings of the family and relatives who tried to console the children.

Vaibhav (19), the eldest son of the family was fortunate enough to escape with minimum injuries as he was sleeping closer to the wall but his brother and sister were not lucky enough. Gulshan (16) had minor injuries but Gungun (9) was injured more than her brothers as her left leg was fractured.

"We couldn't believe the news when we were called by police. I talked to my sister last night and everything was fine then," said Sunita, sister of Rachna while she consoled her nephews.

The physiological trauma is much more than the physical one as the shock of the drastic events has left these children in a mute state with their tears not stopping. The children were still trying to digest the fact that their parents are no more with them as the bodies of their parents were brought home. Even as the authorities have announced compensation and job for Vaibhav to secure their future, MLAs and people of different political parties came to give their condolences, yet nothing people say or do can bring back their parents. Their relatives tried to console them and encouraged them to remain strong in these testing times.

According to the neighbours, Sunil and Rachna (the deceased) wanted their children to get a good education for their secure future also they were planning to sell the house and purchase a bigger house in the neighborhood only. With the house, lots of hopes and dreams of this once happy family have collapsed and as for these children, their lives will never be the same without their parents.
