DU fest 'Antardhvani' begins at North Campus

Antardhvani, the three day long academic and cultural festival of Delhi University began on Friday at the North Campus. The theme for this year's festival is ‘University of Delhi: Meeting the challenges of India’.

Skill development plaza, where the council will conduct a host of activities including seminars and workshops for creating awareness about job opportunities will be among the major attractions of the festival.

Other big attractions of the festival include an innovation plaza that would demonstrate new dimensions of knowledge creation through undergraduate research projects. Showcase of culture, history, lifestyle and art by International Plaza, flower show, medicinal plants exhibition, sound and light show will also be presented.

There will be many other events also for the students of the varsity during the three-day festival.

While the festival has started in the North Campus, many students and teachers are opposing it. Through a press statement, Krantikaari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) has alleged that the university administration is wasting public money for the festival.

The Delhi University Teachers Organisations (DUTA) has already slammed the university administration for suspending the class-work for three days for Antardhvani.
