It’s been four days after the Delhi University kicked off its admission process for undergraduate courses but still its admission portal is not functional. The Varsity has received more than 70,000 applications till Thursday but not even a single candidate could complete their registration due to inactive tabs.

Aspirants are only allowed to fill their personal details, course preference, extra-curriculum activities and bank details. The registration process is said to be completed when a candidate will fill all the eight tabs given on the portal and then submits fees after clicking on the ninth tab.

The second tab of the portal of “academic details” is still not activated without which the seventh tab of “mandatory uploads” cannot be completed. Four out of a total of nine tabs have not been activated as of now.

The Varsity has also not uploaded the “information bulletin” yet, due to which, aspirants and their parents have to come all the way to its north campus to attend the ongoing “counselling session.”

Officials, however, are passing the buck on to the CBSE for being late in announcing its Class XII results. “We can’t open the academic details section as long as the CBSE results will be announced. We don’t want students to fill anything randomly,” said a senior Varsity official.
