Drugs worth Rs 25 crore seized by Special Cell of Delhi Police, three foreigners arrested

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Esmatullah (40) and Khalilullah (22), the Afghan Nationals and Osondu, Nigerian national, who were arrested following a tip-off.

The special cell of Delhi police has arrested three foreign nationals, two Afghan national and a Nigerian national for allegedly supplying heroin worth Rs 25 crore from South Delhi's Saket area on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. Five-kg of heroin has been recovered, police said.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Esmatullah (40) and Khalilullah (22), the Afghan Nationals and Osondu, Nigerian national, who were arrested following a tip-off.

"We had received an information that the two accused would come to Saket to hand over a packet of drugs. A trap was laid at the exit gate of a hospital in Saket where the two Afghan nationals had come to deliver a consignment to a Nigerian national at around 1 am. While handing the consignment the three were nabbed," said PS Kushwah, deputy commissioner of police (special cell).

Police recovered five-kg heroin and 4,200 US dollars from their possession. The two Afghan nationals have already supplied more than 100 kg of heroin in Delhi in the last two years and had brought in 15-kg heroin last time, Kushwah said.
