Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate BN Singh on Tuesday directed the Noida Authority to take action in the case wherein a flower seller got government identity documents issued on an address that he had encroached upon.

DNA had reported the matter on Tuesday, June 13 edition.

Talking to DNA, Singh said as soon as the matter came to his notice, he ordered the Noida Authority to take appropriate action. "Since the property belongs to Noida Authority, it is their duty to ensure its protection," he said.

Flower seller Ram Nishad and his family had encroached upon the space outside house number G-49 in Sector 27, which belongs to the Noida Authority and where Authority employee Manoj Kumar lives with his wife Seema and two-year-old son Akshaj. The encroachers then obtained PAN card, passport, driving license, and various other government documents by giving the address of the house.

The house was allotted to Kumar on January 28, 2003. He had lodged a complaint with Sector 20 police station, Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Love Kumar, and Noida Authority DCEO Saumya Srivastav, but no action was taken for over a month. DNA has the copies of complaints lodged with the Noida Police and the Noida Authority, and documents generated on the address.

Kumar has also alleged that Nishad's family attacked his family members for lodging a complaint against him. The matter came to his knowledge when he received Nishad's PAN on his address on April 22, 2017. Two days later, he lodged a complaint with SC Misra, in-charge of the work circle two in Noida Authority.

Both Mishra and Srivastav said that they have given reports to additional CEO AK Srivastav, who will take the final call on conducting a drive to remove the illegal structure.
