A final investigation report prepared by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation has examined the reasons for the near collision between two aircraft in 2016 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

Accessed exclusively by DNA, the report states that the "lack of co-ordination between the ATC controllers" and "non-availability of a dedicated 'follow-me service' for VIPs" was responsible for the infamous SpiceJet and IndiGo face-off that took place in December 27, 2016.
