Foodies, save the date this weekend as a first-of-its-kind festival, celebrating regional cuisines from all over the country, is set to be held at Ansal Plaza on April 29 and 30.

Bengali, Bihari, Goan, Punjabi, Kashmiri, and North-Eastern -- you name it and the cuisine will be there at the festival titled Masalas of India, jointly organised by So Delhi and GoBuzzinga.

People will get an opportunity to savour the iconic tunday kabab of Lucknow and dig into Malabar paranthas at the fare. Street food of Maharashtra, such as dabeli, misal pav, and bhelpuri will also be on the platter along with Bihari delicacy litti chokha and murga litti. Punjabi staples, including sinful chhole bhature, and authentic Kashmiri food have also found a place of honour on the menu of Masalas of India.

Epic summer beverages that have come to define the Capital, such as Old Delhi's special mohabbat ka sharbat, Charan Singh's kulfi and kala khatta with chuskis and shikanji, will not only cool the parched throats but also take many back to their childhood.

Offering this kaleidoscope of regional delicacies and celebrating the traditional culinary gems are various eateries, including Desee Dakshin and Bombay Brunch.Speaking about the objective behind this two-day gastronomic journey, GoBuzzinga Founder Shantanu Verma said: "A food festival that brings together everything regional -- food, music, and even beverages -- is something novel and will break the monotony of western food that Delhi is swamped with."

ADDED FLAVOUR

To further accentuate the local flavour, Masalas of India will also have a line-up of home-grown artists and bands regaling the visitors.
