Olly, the digital card payment application, was adjudged one of the top five among 100 startups during the second edition of the Startups Founder and Investors Meet, held in the Capital on Sunday. Organised by education centre Eduwhiz, the meet aimed at helping budding entrepreneurs connect with investors and get valuable feedback.

The day-long event was held at Awfis in Connaught Place. It was the battleground where top five startups among 100 got a chance to pitch their ideas in front of renowned investors. Social marketplace Togetr, food e-commerce platform Foodebaba.com, offers and discount discovery portal Fhopping.com, and social e-commerce platform My social buy also made it to the top five.

The decision was taken by a panel of investors, including Nishant from LIFTOFF Ventures, Dhiraj Ganjoo and Chetan Bajaj from The Startup Craft, Anil Chhikara from the Jaarvis Accelerator and Dhianu Das of the Luxury Ride.

The participating startups got free accounting help from ClearTax, one of the most popular tax preparation and e-filing platforms in India, and technology consulting from Editsoft, Asia’s first Artificial Intelligence-based software development firm.

“The Eduwhiz community is trying to bridge the gap among students, entrepreneurs, and industry. Established in August, 2016, it has conducted more than 50 events and helped more than 5,000 students and entrepreneurs to reach their goal. It’s a place where you can learn, innovate, and collaborate with great entrepreneurs and mentors,” an organiser said.
