Delhi: Two minor girls raped in different incidents

According to the police the accused have been identified as Ravi Kumar, Mohit and Vinod, who allegedly raped the girl.

The rape capital of India, Delhi, witnessed two separate incidents of rape against two minors including a gang rape in a moving vehicle on Tuesday night.

In the first incident, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped by three men in a moving vehicle in Rohini's Narela area on Tuesday night. Police have arrested the three accused in connection with the case.

According to the police the accused have been identified as Ravi Kumar, Mohit and Vinod, who allegedly raped the girl.

"At around 1:30 am on Wednesday, a police team chased one Tata Ace over suspicion and after a brief chase, police successfully blocked the vehicle's way," said a senior police officer.

While checking, police found a minor girl girl and three men inside the alleged vehicle.

"The minor girl alleged that the trio raped her inside the Tata ace. Two of the accused were arrested on the spot while one fled away. Later, the third accused was also caught," said DCP (Rohini) Rajnessh Gupta.

The accused men and the girl used to live in the same locality. The arrested accused have been sent to judicial custody, police said, adding that the girl's condition is stable.

While in the second incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 16-year-old boy on the pretext of buying chocolates in outer Delhi's Aman Vihar area. Police said that the accused is on the run and efforts are being made to nab him.

According to the police, the accused juvenile used to live in the same locality and lured the girl in the absence of her parents took the victim to an isolated area.

When the victim's parents came back, they saw their daughter was bleeding and rushed her to a nearby hospital and later filed a rape case after the doctors confirmed sexual assault on her.

The accused works as a daily labourers and is on a run at the moment while efforts are made to nab the accused, he added.
