Delhi Police issues traffic advisory ahead of Yoga Day

On the eve of the 3rd International Yoga Day, which will be celebrated on June 21, the Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory detailing the diversion of vehicular movement with instructions on how to avoid roads leading to the venue.

The AYUSH ministry will be organising separate yoga events at several venues in the city, with the main event being organised in Connaught Place from 6 am to 7:40 am. Other events will be organised at Nehru Park, Lodhi Garden, Talkatora Garden, Dwarka, Rohini and Yamuna Sports Complex.

The yellow zone will include Baba Kharak Singh Marg to R/A GP, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg to Gole Market, Panchkuian Road to R.K. Ashram Crossing, Chelmsford Road to Munje Chowk, Minto Road to DDU Marg Crossing, Barakhamba Road to Tolstoy Crossing, Kasturba Gandhi Marg to Tolstoy Crossing and Janpath to Tolstoy Crossing.

"All major roads encircling Connaught Place and in the vicinity will remain open for the movement of traffic, namely Ashoka Road, Bhai Veer Singh Marg, RK Ashram Marg, Panchuian Road, Rani Jhansi Road, Desh Bandhu Gupta Road, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, Bhav Bhuti Marg, Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Ranjit Singh Flyover, Tolstoy Marg and Janpath after Tolstoy crossing," said Garima Bhatnagar, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic.
