Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the Bahadurgarh-Mundka Metro Line via video conference, making this the third metro to connect Haryana with the national capital. The 11.18-km long Mundka to City Park (Bahadurgarh) section of Green Line is an extension of the already operational Green Line (Line-5) from Inderlok/Kirti Nagar to Mundka.
With this extension, the entire Inderlok-Bahadurgarh section has become 29.64 km long. The new route was opened for public services from 4 pm on Sunday. Trains on the extended line will chug through seven elevated stations in Haryana and Delhi.
Meanwhile, at the inauguration, PM Modi said he was happy to see Bahadurgarh, which is witnessing "tremendous economic growth", now connected with the Delhi Metro.
