A 19-year-old meat seller was stabbed twice for resisting a robbery at his shop in east Delhi's Vivek Vihar area.

The robbers managed to run away with over Rs 48,000 and are yet to be nabbed. The victim, identified as Gobinda, claims one of the robbers was his neighbour Sunny. The other two remain unidentified, police said.

The incident took place on Friday night when Gobinda, who owns the shop in Vivek Vihar's Kasturba Nagar, was sweeping his shop.

Sunny and two others barged into his shop and picked up a wad of currency notes lying on a table. According to the victim, the accused took away Rs 48,670.

In his complaint, Gobinda alleged that when he resisted the robbery, the accused picked up a knife from his shop and stabbed him twice in his private parts before running away with the money, police said.
