The Delhi government has announced that it will start special evening classes in art, music and theater in its schools in order to encourage students to consider them as career prospects.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Manish Sisodia made the announcement during his interaction with students, during a visit at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in east Delhi's Mayur Vihar area. He was accompanied by renowned Bollywood actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav.

Hailing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Delhi government for its efforts in the field of education, Yadav said, "I heard a lot about the education revolution in government schools in Delhi and today I witnessed it myself. I would like to request other state governments to learn from the Delhi government schools."

"I could never imagine a government school with such good infrastructure and excellent sports facilities before visiting the Delhi government school. I would like to congratulate the government and Education Minister Manish Sisodia for their efforts in making this true," he said.

Yadav also promised to contribute to the "education revolution" of the government. "I will keep on visiting the government schools in Delhi to guide students in theatre and acting," he said.
