Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash attended the Cabinet meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to finalise the dates for the Budget Session of the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday. This was their first meeting after the alleged attack on Prakash by AAP MLAs at Kejriwal's residence last week.

Before attending the meeting, Prakash wrote to Kejriwal saying, "The meeting will be based on the assumption that the CM will ensure that there is no physical attack and verbal assault on the officers. It is also hoped that in the said meeting, proper decorum will be maintained and dignity of the officers will be protected."

The Delhi Assembly's Budget Session will be held from March 16 to 28, the Cabinet has decided. According to sources, the Cabinet meeting was videographed, a move being mulled by the Kejriwal government for all meetings.

Meanwhile, a joint forum of Delhi government employees passed a resolution, saying officers associated with the budget have attended the Cabinet meeting in the interest of the people. However, the forum has decided to continue only written communication with ministers and maintain five-minute silence at 1.30 pm, during lunch time, every day till Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia tender a written apology.

"We will continue our protest till a specific written and public apology is tendered by the chief minister and the deputy chief minister," Pankaj Kumar, a member of the forum said.
