The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) protested against the Kejriwal government's alleged failure to provide water and electricity to the city on Friday. Around 2,000 BJP workers led by Manoj Tiwari, were, however, prevented by Delhi Police from gheraoing chief minister's residence as part of the initial plan of the party.

While addressing the protesters during the dharna staged near Sushruta Trauma Centre adjacent to the CM residence, Tiwari said the Kejriwal government has turned a blind eye towards the plight of people in Delhi. The desperate cry of residents for water and electricity has fallen on deaf ears of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, he said. "The CM himself has become a big headache for Delhi. His attitude to play dirty politics over petty issues instead of resolving civic matters is creating trouble for residents. The summer season has been one of the worst with taps running dry and constant power cuts," the BJP leader lashed out.

"Kejriwal has ruled like an anarchist. His tyrannical behaviour has affected the city so much. Murders have been committed over water but the man is not moved to address the problem. The voters are disillusioned with his promises and they want him out," claimed Tiwari. He said the government report card stands at nil in terms of water, transport, health and sanitation, and electricity.
