The Delhi wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parodied the sit-in by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as senior leaders started a protest against the water and power crisis in the Capital at his official residence on Wednesday and stayed the night there. It also upped its attack on the 'absentee' CM as the party threw words like coward, apathetic and failure during the blame-mongering that further fanned the high-volt political drama.

Senior BJP leaders Parvesh Sahib Singh, leader of opposition Vijender Gupta, Manjinder Singh Sirsa sat in the waiting room of the CM house, declaring to end their dharna only when Kejriwal solved civic problems of residents.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rebel legislator Kapil Mishra who joined them at the venue, had tongues wagging once again on if the friendship was brewing.

Singh, meanwhile, was unsparing in his remarks against "coward" CM, for hiding inside the L-G House instead of looking after his people. "Kejriwal has shamelessly taken refuge at Raj Niwas at a time when the city is pining for water. His own MLAs have gone to town about water shortage in their areas. He has simply deserted Delhi as no one's child," he said. The BJP MP also mocked the AAP chieftain, saying he ran the government from Twitter. "All this is a nautanki, in which he is an expert. These are all tactics to sidetrack from the main issues that all Delhi," he claimed.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari marched towards the Delhi Secretariat in the morning. Carrying placards that caricatured Kejriwal's siege of the L-G House, he and several party workers "dared" him to come out of his hideout and answer those who brought him to power. "From health services to transport to water and power, Delhiites are suffering on all accounts. Unfortunately, the man who is responsible for providing relief to them is sitting inside an AC room, masking his inabilities as moral protest," he lashed out.
