Autorickshaw drivers in Delhi have gone on a day long strike against the Delhi Police today. The strike has been called by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh.

Rajendra Soni, the vice president of the Bharatiya Mazdoor, told ANI, "Since the past one month we have been fed up of the traffic police. They do not treat us properly. They are fining us without any reason. Traffic officials dress up in civil clothes. I have a meeting with Satish Upadhyay today. The traffic officials ask for money at metro stations."

An auto driver Bhupendra also said that the Kejriwal government was much better than the current BJP government at the centre. He also said that the harassment against the auto drivers by the police has continued unabated since Kejriwal left office.

Nand Kishore, an autorickshaw driver told ANI, "The strike has been called because we are being harassed. Challans are issued unnecessarily; the Delhi police and the traffic police are harassing us unnecessarily."
