Delhi: Adopted dog saves owner's life despite being repeatedly stabbed by attackers

Even after being repeatedly stabbed by a group of men, the adopted dog saved a life of the owner from the attackers in Delhi.

The incident took place in Delhi Mangolpuri when Rakesh Singh, an MCD employee, had gone out to give a food to the dog named Tyson on October 12.

The report said that the accused started an argument with dog's owner without provocation. After a brief argument, half of the men left and one of the attackers who stayed back pulled out a knife and stabbed Rakesh Singh.

Tyson stood like a messiah between life and death for his owner. His timely rescue act prevented the stabbing from being lethal, Singh's family told Hindustan Times.

Tyson sustained three stab wounds —on the ear, hind limb and abdomen.

Singh's son Ajay said that Tyson managed to raise an alarm and kept fighting them off and ensured that his father was not harmed further.

“As soon as we heard the barking, we realised something was wrong and rushed to the spot. Only then, did we realise what was happening,” said Ajay.

Last year, Rakesh Singh had brought the puppy home when he saw it in the middle of a road.

An attempt to murder case has been registered. Further investigation is on.
