A 28-year-old e-rickshaw driver was stabbed multiple times by two men in South Delhi's Jaitpur during early hours on Friday after he objected a man from meeting a woman, whom he considered as his sister. Police have arrested the two accused men for the murder.

According to the police, it was around 2 am when a PCR call was received at Jaitpur police station reporting that a man's blood-drenched body was lying near Jalebi Chowk.

Police identified the deceased as Jagdish, a resident of a JJ colony in Mohar Singh Nagar. Jagdish used to live with his mother and two younger brothers, police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Chinmoy Biswal said a case of murder was registered. "The accused were arrested. The duo disclosed that they had come to meet one Kajal, when Jagdish objected," the DCP said.

Biswal said the men told the police that when they were returning to Dakshinpuri after meeting the woman, they encountered Jagdish. He was drunk and passed on bad comments on them which led to a fight between them.
