Former Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju's baggage remained stuck at the Delhi airport on Tuesday as he arrived at the Indira Gandhi International airport to board an Air India flight to Vishakhapatnam AI 451.
Airport officials said that the minister had reported late, which led to delay in baggage delivery. According to airport officials, check-in counters for domestic flights are closed 45 minutes prior to scheduled time of departure.
"The minister's flight was scheduled to take off at 3 pm. He reported at 2.48, which is when his bag was sent for security check. As Raju followed VIP protocol, he reached his flight on time, but the bag could not," said an official.
