A day after DNA reported that the Yogi government would take legal action against errant developers, the Noida Authority issued notices to 24 developers on Tuesday. The Authority has asked developers to submit their action plan to render relief to home buyers.

The notices have been issued to Ajnara, Logix, Supertech, Omaxe, Unitech, Antriksh, Assotech (Windsor Court), Laureate buildwell, Divine India, Today Homes, SDS infratech, etc.

Explaining the details, Noida Authority Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Santosh Kumar said that after the UP CM's directions, tripartite meetings were held between 41 developers and their home buyers.

The developers had promised to submit an action plan with the authority. But a month after the meeting, 24 out of 41 developers had failed to submit the action plan which would have rendered relief to home buyers.

"We have issued notices to 24 developers and asked them to submit their action plan or be ready to face action," Kumar said.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh principal secretary (Industries) Alok Sinha had made it clear that directions have been given to Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority officials to protect interest of home buyers and take stringent action against errant developers, who have failed to live up their promises with the home buyers and the Noida Authority as well.

Following the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the authority began calling builders, home buyers and officials concerned for the meetings to address issues faced by the developers in finishing the projects. In each meeting, the authority directed builders to submit a written delivery schedule of flats.

But months after such meetings, many developers have failed to follow the road map. Amidst such circumstances, the state government has now decided to take on errant developers.
