Corporation Bank robbery: Two of six accused arrested by Delhi police

The Delhi police has arrested two of the three dacoits who shot dead a cashier at the Corporation Bank in Chhawla area and absconded with Rs 10 lakh. The police said that they have identified the rest of the accused and are conducting raids to nab them.

"The accused have been identified as Sachin (20) and Parvesh (19). The duo hail from Haryana's Sonepat. Raids are being carried out to nab the remaining accused," said Anto Alphonse, DCP, Dwarka.

Investigating officials stated that they traced the accused examining the CCTV footage of the incident. The police officials also examined the footage of the area before and after the incident, which helped them trace down Sachin.

On the basis of intelligence gathered from the area late night on Friday, a specific tip-off was received following which a team of local police raided a few hideouts in Sonipat area. The efforts of team bore quick results and one of the accused was arrested.

During further raids, one motorcycle used for the crime was recovered from the Ujwa village at the instance of arrested Sachin. The police have recovered a country-made pistol, part of the robbed cash from the accused. Sources said that the six accused had executed the robbery on the directions of a mastermind, who the police are tracing.

Out of the six, three were armed with pistols. Officials said that the accused belonged to Haryana and had carried out a Reece before the incident. The role of a gang has so far not erupted.
