Cops press informers into action

In order to investigate the cases of braid chopping, the crime unit of the Gurugram police has been given special instructions to remain extra alert.

As per sources, police have appointed secret informers to keep an eye on individuals who are under scanner. The police are also manning places in civil dresses.

As of now, seven cases of chopping of braids have been reported from various parts of Gurugram.

A local team of the police will be carrying out their investigation in the areas where these incidents have taken place.

"The public has been requested to help the police in identifying such mischievous elements. The Gurugram police also urge the media to identify such people and inform the police," said a senior police officer.
