A day after DNA reported that cops in the city are being repeatedly targeted by miscreants and criminals, an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI), deployed at a checking point in northeast Delhi, was attacked by two men on a bike when he tried to stop them during the early hours of Friday.
Police said that though the pillion rider attacked ASI Virender Kumar with a screwdriver, the injured cop held him, while the other man managed to flee. The duo were identified as Naveen and Junaid.
