Contractor shot dead in Rohini, no arrests yet

A 45-year-old contractor was shot dead by unidentified assailants in sector 24 of Delhi's Rohini area on Saturday morning. Police have formed teams to identify the assailants, however, they suspect personal enmity behind the murder.

According to the senior police officers, the deceased has been identified as Mukesh Chauhan, who was walking towards his office when he was shot.

"According to the eyewitness, two men approached him and allegedly shot him after which, the two accused fled the spot. A PCR call was made and a team of police officials rushed to spot and took the victim to a nearby hospital," said Rajneesh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini).

Officials of the hospital said that Chauhan had received two bullet injuries and was brought dead to the hospital.
