As the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) celebrates its three years in governance, the Congress on Sunday mocked at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's claims of development in the city. Congress state president Ajay Maken said that "development is not seen anywhere in Delhi."

Attacking the AAP, Maken said that pollution in the city has crossed the danger levels, kilometers of traffic jam, broken streets, people dying due to dengue and chikungunya, alarming conditions of hospitals, increased metro fares and non-implementation of VI phase of metro say it all.

Exposing the work carried out by the ruling party, Maken also pointed out that the DTC fleet has been decreasing drastically, safai karamcharis have been protesting for salaries, education standards are decreasing and traders are marred by the sealing drive.

"Even a new brick has not been laid in Delhi by the AAP government after they come to power. They are only cutting the ribbons of those schemes which were initiated by the Congress," said Maken while addressing a public gathering at Keshav Puram in Wazirpur Assembly Constituency of Adarsh Nagar District.

He added that the Congress workers should go door-to-door to tell the people about the failures of AAP government.

"People in the Capital have again started talking about the Congress by saying that it is the only party which knows how to rule and address development," said Maken.

Congress leaders are eyeing the 20 vacant Assembly seats in the city after the 20 AAP MLAs were disqualified for holding the offices of profit.

Taking this as an opportunity, P C Chako, in-charge of Delhi, said, the Congress workers should be ready for by-elections on the 20 assembly seats for which the booth level committees should also be ready.

"The wave is against the AAP government which will certainly benefit the Congress party," said Chako.
