This is the third incident in the past two weeks where a commuter has been caught with a pistol, trying to sneak into the Delhi Metro train

A woman was caught by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at GTB Nagar Metro Station after the X-ray machine detected a country-made pistol in her bag. Some jewellery and USD 100 were also found in her bag after checking. This is the third incident in the past two weeks where a commuter has been caught with a pistol, trying to sneak into the Delhi Metro train.
According to senior CISF officials, the matter came to light on Saturday at around 4:35 pm when during the baggage screening of a lady passenger, through X-ray machines at GTB Nagar Metro Station, Constable Milan Ghose detected the image of a pistol and some live rounds.
“The constable immediately stopped the conveyer belt as well as the passenger was stopped, and he informed the matter to his senior officers. The bag was then physically checked in presence of the lady passenger and a country-made pistol along with eight live rounds of 3.25 bore was recovered. The woman was identified as Inder Pal Kaur (36), a resident of Mukherjee Nagar area,” a senior officer said.
The matter was then conveyed to the senior officers and station controller. The woman was brought to the station control room along with her bag.
