The Delhi Police summoned Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal, who were arrested in connection with the alleged assault on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, to join the investigations on Saturday. Police officials revealed that the two legislators did not co-operate with the investigators.

Since both of them were arrested and sent to judicial custody immediately, the police were not given enough time to question them and hence they were summoned again on Saturday.

While Khan was questioned in the morning for around two hours, Jarwal was questioned in the evening for three hours. The interrogation was recorded. The police officers stated that during the questioning the duo did not cooperate. Jarwal and Khan even refuted the allegations made against them.

AAP MLA from Burari Sanjeev Jha was questioned on March 13 by the police with regard to the assault case. Jha was also present in the drawing room where the assault took place.

Investigating officials revealed that Jha during questioning confirmed there was commotion and argument in the room when the CS was seated on the sofa. Sources revealed that Jha was more open and gave replies to almost all the questions, unlike the other MLAs.

The FIR mentions 11 other MLAs besides Khan.

MLAs Rituraj Govind from Kirari was questioned on Wednesday and Rajesh Gupta from Wazirpur was interrogated on Thursday.

On February 19, the chief secretary had alleged that he was beaten up by AAP legislators Jarwal and Khan at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal last month in his presence, where the top bureaucrat had been called for an emergency meeting.

Khan and Jarwal were arrested on February 21. The Delhi High Court had on March 12 granted bail to Khan while Jarwal was given bail on March 9.

Justice Mukta Gupta granted bail to Khan asking him to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 with two sureties of the like amount while Jarwal was warned that any such illegal activity in future would lead to cancellation of his bail.
