Jolted by the news of re-examinations, several lakhs students will write another CBSE Board exam on Monday. While class X students have their French/Sanskrit/Urdu-B paper, class XII students will sit for their language Elective paper.

On Saturday, the CBSE had released three different alerts rejecting the rumours of class XII Hindi and Political Science and Class Xth Sanskrit papers being leaked. In an official release, the board, however, said that the question papers circulating on social media are either fake or in previous years, but the news made students anxious. "The CBSE had denied the news of any leak in case of Economics paper as well. Later it was announced that a re-exam will be conducted. What if the news of leaks in these papers turns out to be true?" asked Akshay Sinha, a class XII student at DPS, Mathura road.

Echoing the sentiment, Saksham Singh, a class Xth student at St Thomas School, said, "We were shocked after hearing the news of the re-examination. It was like a blow for us. But why should all students suffer just because few students received the leaked paper before the examination? We don't want to suffer anymore."

"We have to take several entrance tests in the coming weeks and I am already stressed about the April 25 re-exam. I am getting nightmares of another re-examination," said another class XII student.

Meanwhile, officials at the board claimed to have taken all measures to ensure safe exams on Monday. "We have gathered all officials at the headquarters and assigned them duties. We have also put in place a new system for delivering question papers to the examination centres through password-protected URLs," a CBSE official said
