In what so far appears to be a case of road rage, a 31-year-old businessman was shot at by a group of four men in outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar on the day of Holi. According to the police, they received a PCR call by the victim's brother, who was informed by the victim himself.

"We got a call from the victim's brother, who told us that the businessman was attacked by a group of hooligans when he asked them to remove their car from a spot. We rushed a team to the spot and took the man to a hospital where he is being treated," a senior officer probing the case said.

The victim has been identified as Rajpal and is a resident of Chander Nagar. He was shot in his face and has his jaw broken. "The victim was heading towards his house in Chander Nagar when the incident took place. The man asked the men to remove their car from the way so that he can move ahead. He also asked them to move the children to one side, but the men got agitated and started hurling abuses at him," the officer said.

However, while even as Rajpal ignored their abuse and moved toward his Santro car, the men sitting in their car opened fire at him and fled from the spot.
