Three unidentified miscreants shot at a businessman with a country-made pistol and made away with his car from near Sector 1 of Alpha Commercial Belt in Greater Noida on Saturday night.

According to the police, city-based businessman Bobby Gupta was passing from the area around 10 pm when the three accused stopped him.

"I was going back home. When I passed the Dominos Chowk, three miscreants overtook my car and forced me to stop. When I got down, they pointed a gun at me and asked for my car keys," Gupta said.

He further said: "When I refused, they shot me in my leg. Even as I was screaming for help, they fled from the spot with my car." Gupta is admitted in a city hospital, where doctors stated that he was out of danger.

In a similar case, four unidentified men allegedly abducted a driver and assaulted him before fleeing in the car. Police said driver Kripa Ram was passing from the Ansal Housing of Bodaghi in Gurugram when four men forced him to stop his car.
