Residents residing in South, West, East and Central Delhi can get a cash back of flat Rs 300 per-month for timely payment of their electricity bills in January, February, and March 2018. The announcement was made by the power discom—BSES to motivate the consumers to make the payment on time.
Announcing the scheme, BSES spokesperson said, “It is our continuous endeavour to engage consumers regularly and reward them for timely payments. Our new offer with Mobikwik is a tangible step in that direction.”
Consumers can also get an additional cash back of Rs 300 for pre-payment of the April 18 bill on or before 31st March 18. This means, that by simply paying their bills in time, along with pre-payment of their April 2018 bill, they can get a cash-back of Rs 1200.
“To be eligible, they simply have to pay-three consecutive BRPL/BYPL bills, which can also include the pre payment of the April 2018 bill,” added the official.
Post making a bill payment, a consumer will get a coupon (via SMS) from Mobikwik. The coupon for January will be smsed in February, for February and March in March itself. Coupon for paying the April (by March 31, 2018) bill will be also smsed in March 2018. A consumer has to redeem the coupons received in January, February and March 2018 between 16th to 31st March’18 for paying BRPL/BYPL bill of Apr’18 or its prepayment.
“This is an excellent sceheme for all of us. The cash back facility is interesting as it will motivate all the consumers to make the payments on time,” said Karan Singh, a resident of Minto road.
