Hundreds of BJP workers took to streets against the alleged murders of party workers in West Bengal last month. The protestors criticised the Mamata Banerjee government for alleged murders of BJP workers in West Bengal last month. They said that the incidents in the state were telling examples of autocracy of the TMC government, and the killings were politically motivated. They also raised slogans against the ruling West Bengal government for trampling on the spirit of democracy by killing BJP workers.

Supriyo lashed out at Banerjee in his tweet. "Democracy in West Bengal is in heavy danger. Opposition party members are being attacked and killed every other day. Ruling party's members and followers who proudly chant 'Ma, Mati, Manush', have left no stones unturned to instill fear in the minds of people," he tweeted.

On Monday, too, scores of BJP workers had protested outside the TMC office against the alleged murders of their counterparts in Bengal. BJP leader Roopali Ganguly had termed the incidents in WB as "black chapter in the history of the state". Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari had also lashed out at TMC, saying the chief minister was resorting to communal politics for her political gains, against the spirit of secularism.
