After lashing out at the Kejriwal government, Delhi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) slammed the AAP government on Thursday for the poor education facilities provided to the children of the city. Calling out the chief minister for failing to construct more schools, the Opposition complained that education was suffering due to the alleged indifference of CM Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP also criticised the AAP government over the water and power crisis in the Capital.

Leader of Opposition, Vijender Gupta said lakhs of children are deprived of quality education because the ruling state government has not been able to provide adequate schools. Reminding the AAP government of its promise of constructing 500 new schools, Gupta said the party was not interested in the future of scores of children. "The party does not have any agenda to build schools when it has around 78 plots lying vacant with it. The least it can do is erect pre-fabricated structures on the land," he said, lashing out at the AAP government's lack of education policy. "The government had announced during elections that it will provide 500 new schools to the city but has not gone beyond 24.

The promises have turned out to be false. These new schools were already finalised by the previous government. So, in effect, the AAP has done zero work in education," he claimed.

"This government has no proper vision. They are building more than 12,000 classrooms without any concrete plan or feasible study whether these are more important or schools," the BJP leader said.
