The Bhartiya Janta Party leader Vijender Gupta on Saturday in another attack on the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government has exposed the details of two lavish lunches, which were organised at the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

According to the information provided by Gupta, the lunch, organised at the CM's residence on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the AAP government, incurred an expenditure of around Rs 11 lakh. The feast was organised on February 11 and 12 by the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) at a leading five star hotel.

"At least Rs 13,805 per plate was spent for 80 guests. This must be a record in itself of the costliest lunch hosted by any government because the financial rules stipulate an expenditure of Rs 1,250 per person to host lunch at less than five star hotels," Gupta alleged.

While addressing the conference, Gupta alleged that the AAP government has spent precious public funds without any scruple or sense of responsibility.

"But the Kejriwal government spent Rs 13,805, which is more than the approved limit of Rs 1,250 as prescribed under the financial rules. It appears that sky is the limit when it comes to hosting lunch while boasting of its so called achievements of one year," he added.
