The Delhi wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reacted sharply to the charge sheet filed against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and 11 other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs for allegedly assaulting chief secretary Anshu Prakash on February 19.

Leader of opposition Vijender Gupta demanded Kejriwal to step down as Chief Minister owning moral responsibility. He said that the Chief Minister has lost all moral rights to remain in the seat, and he must quit the post with immediate effect. The BJP leader also made a similar demand for Sisodia and other legislators named in the charge sheet.

Meanwhile, Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh criticised the AAP government as a government of "goons". While the Delhi BJP sharpened its claws to attack the CM, its local wing president Manoj Tiwari did not comment or react on the matter.

Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken made a scathing comment on the isuue on his social media account. "Calling CS at 12 Midnight at CM house to thrash him & intimidate him-is unprecedented in Indian political history! Being elected, doesn't give AAP a license,to beat the senior-most bureaucrat. Politicians come & go, but this non-political steel frame shouldn't be the target! (sic), tweeted Maken.
