Miffed over Aam Aadmi Party "projecting" Jagdish Mukhi as its chief ministrial candidate, Delhi BJP has asked the leader to take legal action against the AAP.

The posters of AAP can be spotted on autorickshaws these days in which the party is seen "projecting" Mukhi as BJP's CM candidate against its chief Arvind Kejriwal.

"As BJP has not declared its chief ministerial candidate so far, how can they (AAP) run such a campaign? Since the issue involves Mukhi, we have asked him to take cognizance of the matter because AAP is wrongly using his photo. He (Mukhi) should take legal action against the AAP," Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said here.

Upadhyay said that he wanted to make it clear that BJP has not declared its CM candidate so far for the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, a delegation of lawyers led by Upadhyay on Monday met Union Law Minister Sadanand Gowda and raised their demands before him.

The Delhi BJP said that in the meeting, it was decided that the Law Ministry will forward the legislative proposal for increasing the pecuniary limit of the district courts in Delhi. In addition, Gowda will give his statement on the floor of the House on December 18, he added.

Speaking at a programme on Monday held in Janakpuri, BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi said that if his party forms the government in national capital, Delhi will then get the status of a full state.

"The population of Delhi is going to touch two crore mark. But due to prevalence of multiplicity of authority system, people of Delhi have to run from one authority to another to get anything done, as they are unable to get things done from one authority. If BJP forms the government in national capital, Delhi will then get the status of full state," Mukhi said.
