Biker beats up bus driver on Rohtak Road

In yet another road rage incident in the Capital, a bike-borne man allegedly beat up a bus driver on the Rohtak Road on Thursday morning.

According to the police, the biker was listening to music using his ear phones and was not giving way to the bus to move. When the bus driver somehow managed to find space and overtake him, the biker, in a fit of rage, intercepted the bus and assaulted the driver. The victim was identified as Sandeep Kumar, who sustained minor injuries on his nose. He was immediately discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, the passersby caught hold of the biker, later identified as Sunil, and handed him over to the police.

"The bus was plying on the Rohtak Road. It was coming from Rohini, Sector 22, and was on its way to the Shivaji stadium. It had crossed a traffic signal when the biker blocked its way. The bus driver kept honking but the biker was listening to music and did not give way," a police officer said.Reportedly, after the bus halted at some distance, the biker broke one of its side windows and assaulted the driver.
