Bike ride spreads message of peace and harmony in National Capital

To spread message of peace and harmony in the national Capital, children of non-profit organisation Nehru Bal Sangh organised the 2nd edition extravaganza ‘Jashn-e Azadi Freedom Ride 2018’. The aim of this ride was to invoke and instill a sense of pride and make the youth understand the factual meaning of independence and not to consider the festival as another holiday.

As many as 200 superbikes participated in the rally which was flagged off from Qutab Minar and concluded at Chhattarpur after covering the Gurugram- Faridabad road. Bikers rode through the cities in a synchronised form waiving the Indian Flag and celebrating Independence Day. Ashok Sahota, President, NBS said, “We started this ride to motivate and encourage the youth to celebrate this historical day. Also, we truly believe that India’s independence is the mother of all festivals and every Indian should be a part of thereby spreading the message of peace, love, harmony, growth and the hope of having a better nation.”

Suparna Sarkar, one of the female motorbike enthusiasts and rider said, “This ride for me is a true reflection of freedom in both spirit and action. For me riding is my passion like boys and to ride to celebrate my country’s Independence gives me a true sense of freedom and wings to fly. It shows girls are not fragile, they are fearless.”
