Alcoholics stab man for tumbling upon them

Ajeet Sharma (32), was stabbed by a knife by two inebriated men at Nala Road in Trilokpuri area of East Delhi as the cycle he was riding had brushed past the accused. According to police, as the cycle touched one of the accused, Sharma was cornered by them, while one held him and the other stabbed. After this, Sharma was thrown into a nulla behind a wall in the area.

He was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Mayur Vihar with severe injuries on his hips, head and hands.

The accused were identified as Suraj and Shahjad, both in their 20s, who were later apprehended by the police when they made an attempt to escape from the Kondali More area.

Police have recovered blood-stained clothes and the weapon of offence. Both the accused have been remanded in police custody for a day.

An FIR has been registered under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the two.
