It was a rather relaxed Monday for Delhi Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) Chief Manoj Tiwari. After months, the Bhojpuri actor and singer-turned-politician enjoyed a walk in his lavish home garden on the 159 North Avenue.

The north-east Delhi MP got no break between his canvassing for the UP Assembly elections and a month-long campaign in Delhi for the MCD elections.

After the long and hectic campaign for the municipal elections got over on Sunday, Tiwari seemed to be taking it a bit easy. To unwind, he made tea, read newspapers at length, and attended to his garden. "I like gardening. It helps me to de-stress. Also, I get some exercise," he said.

Later in the day he met his staffers and asked them about any grievances they might have. Also, after long, he spoke to his daughter, who is studying in Mumbai. "There was hardly any time I could snatch out from the campaign and the meetings since the UP elections. The phone wouldn't stop ringing. Today, I could speak to my people without worrying about anything else," he said.

Meanwhile, senior leader Shyam Jaju, too, had a light day and enjoyed Mahrashtrian delicacies at home.
