Reacting to the removal of ten advisers, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Ajay Maken said that it was a pre-planned narrative to remove the advisers to the Delhi government appointed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government as it was'hand-in-glove' with the BJP government at the Centre on Wednesday.

He alleged that the AAP was aware of the removal of the ten advisers, who were given the post in a "pick-and-choose manner" out of the 71 AAP party supporters for the Delhi Government, which the Shunglu Committee, in its report submitted to the Lt. Governor on November 28, 2016. "The AAP wants to gain the sympathy factor as some of those removed were reportedly being considered for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, like Raghav Chadha and Atishi Marlena, and they would have quit their posts in any case," Maken alleged.

"It was surprising that the media adviser to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has not been removed while that of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been removed," he said.
