The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took out a 'Vikas Yatra' in all the 70 constituencies across the city on Sunday, in a bid to highlight the achievements of its government during its three years in power. The move comes at a time when the national Capital is set to witness by-elections in 20 constituencies after President Ram Nath Kovind disqualified 20 of its MLAs for holding the offices of profit.

Accompanied by thousands of supporters, party's Delhi coordinator, Gopal Rai kicked off the rally from his constituency Barabpur and apprised the public about the works done by the AAP government. "The government has provided electricity to the people of Delhi at half the price of 400 units for 24 hours, electricity is getting cheaper. It also has provided free 20 thousand liters of water every month for the last three years," he said while addressing the crowd.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also met many people in Central Delhi's Gol Market area. Kejriwal also took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said the ruling BJP was only interested in making the country's youth "sell pakoras". "Aam Aadmi Party ensures good education to the people and makes them doctors, engineers and lawyers. BJP's dream for India is - keep the people illiterate and make them sell 'pakoras'," he tweeted.

The AAP government is completing three years of being in power on February 14. Other party members also highlighted the work done by the government in health and education sector, that has been on their priority list since the beginning. "AAP's government is the only government in the country that has made tremendous changes in the education sector. No other government in the entire country has allotted its 25 percent budget on education like we have," Rai added.

"Similarly, the government has done remarkable work in the health sector as well. If a person goes to a government hospital in Delhi for treatment and if he does not get the date of treatment or operation due to excessive engagement at the government hospital, then that person can get his treatment done in private hospitals and the government will take care of the entire expense," he said.
