Days after the party's humiliating defeat in Rajouri Garden by-poll election, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday claimed that its internal survey has predicted a whooping victory for it in the upcoming Delhi municipal polls.

While releasing the survey, senior party leader Ashish Khetan said that the party will win 218 out of 272 municipal seats. It has given the BJP 39 seats, whereas the Congress was given only seven seats.

The party further claimed that a sizeable section among traditional BJP voters, which had voted for AAP in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, showed a shift towards AAP following the House Tax waiver announcement.

"The implementation of 50 per cent reduction in domestic electricity bills and provision of free water up to 20,000 litres per household per month is showing maximum impact in JJ clusters and unauthorised colonies," Khetan said.
