Amid the allegations that Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was manhandled by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, its legislator from Ambedkar Nagar, MLA Ajay Dutt on Tuesday filed a police complaint against the latter for making "casteist remarks" against him during a meeting at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence late on Monday night.

In his complaint, Dutt accused the top bureaucrat of questioning his status when he raised the issue of residents of his constituency Ambedkar Nagar (Reserved) not getting ration items on time. "He said you be within your limits... you have no right to question me. He used abusive language and moved out of the room," Dutt said in his complaint, adding that Prakash also launched verbal attacks against another AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal.

He demanded the Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against Prakash under the SC/ST Act and take strict action against him.

Similarly, AAP leaders Aashish Khetan and Imran Hussain also filed police complaints saying that they were heckled and manhandled, and their party volunteers thrashed by "motivated elements" masquerading as Delhi government employees at the Delhi Secretariat. The party also alleged that Prakash has made such allegation at BJP's behest.
