6-year-old dies after falling from 12th floor in Noida

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Keshav Chauhan, a native of Champa district of Chhattisgarh, was at the construction site where his parents work as labourers.

A 6-year-old boy died after falling from the 12th floor of an under-construction building in Supertech Ecovillage 1 in Noida extension on Wednesday morning. However, no complaint has been registered.

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Keshav Chauhan, a native of Champa district of Chhattisgarh, was at the construction site where his parents work as labourers. The incident took place at around 11 am when the boy was playing on the 12th floor of the building.

"As soon as we received the information, a police team was rushed to the spot and took the victim to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries. We have not received any complaint in the matter and will begin the investigations if his parents approach us," said a senior police officer.

A senior police officer also stated that the negligence by the builder for not taking proper safety measures has been the reason for the death and if the builder would have taken proper safety measures, the mishap could have been avoided.
